VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering

Course Details

Full Time: 10 weeks (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm)

Part-Time: 12 months, one day per week (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm)

This course will give you a solid foundation to start your barbering career. The NVQ Level 2 is a job-ready qualification, perfect to prepare learners with little or no experience to start work in the industry. This qualification covers the essential skills and knowledge you will need to develop as a barber.

Train in our realistic barbershop environment to ensure you gain commercial experience on a minimum of 130 clients ensuring you leave ready for the workplace.

• Technical consultation
• Customer service
• Health and Safety
• Maintenance tool
• Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
• Cut men’s hair, including clipper and scissor work, fading, outlines, texturising
• Cut facial hair, including beard shaping and care
• Blowdrying and styling men’s hair
• Promote products and services
• Assisting with Shaving
• Reception
